Ideation Lab Technician--APS 1--E-ship Center

Ideation Lab Technician 1 
2 positions available immediately

Ideation Lab Tech. 1, working under direct supervision, running the EWU Ideation Lab. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Prompt response to email inquiries.
  • Running lab equipment.
  • Training on processes for students and faculty in lab.
  • Ordering and inventorying of consumables for the lab.
  • Communicating within the campus community promoting the Ideation Lab.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or required.

This position will report to Dr. Philip Appel in the Entrepreneurship Center.

This position is budgeted to allow a maximum of 19 hours per week. Working hours are typically between 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday based on availability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a demonstrated professional demeanor and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Applicants must be reliable, responsive, and have good time management.
  • Applicants must work both independently as well as in a collaborative group setting.
  • Applicants must be able to work with others at all levels, have a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Have a passing grade in MNTC 301 or equivalent experience.
  • Have gone through the Technology Commercialization Academy (TCA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Junior or Senior standing
