Accountant (Internal Financial Reviewer)

This position gives you the opportunity to:
 

  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare reports that are in compliance with GAAP and GASB
  • Assists with internal and external audits
  • Reconciliation of account records
  • Analysis and preparation of budgets
  • Prepare entries to maintain fixed asset ledger
  • Prepare accounting summaries and analysis reports for capital projects

This is a full working level classification where incumbents are responsible for duties that require confidentiality and substantial knowledge of professional accounting theory, principles, and practices in order to ensure that the City’s finances comply with legal requirements and conform to audit standards.

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related filed and have two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to complete the essential job duties.

 Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, and two (2) years of related experience are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description.
