Network Technician

Position Information:
The Network Technician adds, removes, changes, maintains, inventories, documents, and repairs network switches, wireless access points, battery backup systems, phones, network printers/copiers and other network equipment, as assigned. This position helps maintain and troubleshoot network connectivity to security cameras and other equipment. Additionally, this position provides technical support for network services.
Shift Details: 8hours a day; 260 day calendar - 3 furlough days
Continuing Position: Employees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Hourly Rate: $56.13 per hour (2024-2025 Professional - Technical Employee Salary Schedule)

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Five or more (5+) years of work experience in a network analyst or information technology support role.
Or
- Associate’s degree in computer science, network infrastructure, network engineering, or related field *; and
- Three or more (3+) years of relevant work experience.
* Human Resources may consider work experience, certification equivalency, and continuing education as an alternative to the degree when assessing this required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, network infrastructure, network engineering, or related field
- One or more (1+) years of work experience in the installation and maintenance of Cisco or standard industry accepted telecommunications equipment
- Experience working in a school environment and a multi-building campus
- Google Workspace experience.
- Experience with Elastic.
