Teaching Assistant / Grader, HAMLL
Teaching Assistant 1, under the general supervision of faculty, duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Helping to maintain attendance records.
- Reading and Grading assignments, quizzes, tests, papers, and reports using an answer key.
- Recording data such as grades in Canvas.
- Assisting students individually or in groups with review or study sessions to prepare for quizzes, tests, and projects, proctoring quizzes and exams.
- Coordinating materials with the library, including picking up and returning materials.
- Performing other duties related to Spanish Language as assigned or required.
This position is for a Teaching Assistant in Spanish Language courses and will report to Miguel Novella.
This position will work approximately 10 hours per week (not to exceed 19 hours per week).
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have a demonstrated knowledge of Spanish languages and culture.
Applicants must be reliable, patient, responsive, organized, sensitive to the needs of a diverse population, willing to follow directions, take initiative, and work independently.
Applicants must be able to work with others at all levels, have a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
Applicants must manage conflict, collaborate, and work effectively independently and as a team member.
