Marketing Assistant

Marketing Assistant, under direct supervision, duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the production of materials for social media and other advertising channels
• Preparing and presenting data regarding social media performance and past and future events
• Photography.
• Maintaining advertisement and social media content.
• Performing routine clerical duties.
• Performing other related duties as assigned or required.

This position will report to the EWU Eagle Store Marketing Coordinator, Elly Sears.

 

This position will work varied days and hours.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Applicants must have experience and be proficient in Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok and have at least a base level of understanding for content and advertising strategies for each platform. 

Applicants must have basic understandings of Canva and video editing and content creation. 

 

Applicant must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn, have a positive attitude, and have the ability to take direction, receive constructive feedback, and work well with others.  

Applicant must be able to work independently and as part of a team, reliable, responsive, meet deadlines, be organized and possess time management skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and be sensitive to the needs of a diverse population. 

Applicant must be interested and engaged in developing professionally.  

 

Applicant must be able to work with others at all levels, have a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and emotional intelligence.

Applicant must be able to manage conflict, collaborate and work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.

Applicant must be able to follow and identify trends and recreate them under the Eastern and Eagle Store brand to promote the store and its merchandise. 

Preferred Qualifications

Applicant is willing to appear on social media and model clothing and other items. 

Applicant has an understanding of Eastern’s culture and community. 

Applicant is creative and can think outside of the box. 

Applicant is a marketing major or other related field.
