Photography / Videography - Student Assistant
Videographer, under direct supervision, duties include, but are not limited to:
- Photography and/or videography.
- Assisting in photographing/filming EWU Athletics events, projects, games, etc.
- Content creation for EWU Athletics social media accounts.
- Capturing of photos/videos for athletic events/games.
- Creation of promotional material (i.e. season ticket campaign, single ticket sales).
- Performing other related duties as assigned or required.
This position will report to the EWU Athletics Director of Marketing and Creative Services and Monika Jesse, Director of Digital Media & Creative Services Braeden Harlow.
This position will work mostly nights and weekends. Potential to work during quarter breaks. Up to 19 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicant must have prior working knowledge of filming Athletic events.
- Applicant must have working knowledge, understanding, and background in sports.
- Must be proficient with a working knowledge of trends in athletics.
- Applicants must have experience and be proficient in using photo/video editing programs (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut).
- Applicant must have a creative mind and willingness to participate in brand ideation discussions.
- Applicant must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn, have a positive attitude, and have the ability to take direction, receive constructive feedback, and work well with others.
- Applicant must be able to work independently and as part of a team, be reliable, responsive, meet deadlines, be organized and possess time management skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and be sensitive to the needs of a diverse population.
- Applicant must be interested and engaged in developing professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicant has an established portfolio to submit upon application.
Applicant has a creative mind to create content that will translate to athletic social media platforms.
